Dashed Stripe summer washcloth

When life feels a bit out of control, knitting helps. I had not planned on a third year in Accra, and living so far away from my husband is hard. The weekends are suddenly very long. Good thing I have lots of yarn left, and a better internet connection (goodbye Surfline, hello Vodafone) so I can get back on Ravelry and Pinterest. Here is another small washcloth, easy to knit.

Project 2 (2018): Dashed Stripe summer washcloth
Pattern: Dashed Stripe Facecloth (also on Ravelry)
Yarn: Sirdar Summer Stripes (60% cotton, 40% acrylic), 50gr = 158 metres.
Yarn purchased: online in UK
Colour: 0309, sand-beige-green-blue
Difficulty for me: easy
Needles: circular needles size 4 mm.
Stitches: 56
Knitted where: In Accra, while watching Call the Midwife
Final size: 30×26 cm
Final weight: 35 grammes

I used a 3 stitch edge on both sides, rather than two, and 56 stitches (I think) rather than 34. This will be a housewarming gift, paired with a matching Spa Day washcloth.

As noted last week, I now have four of these, so had better give some away soon! Clockwise from top left: Ripple striped summer washcloth, Spa Day washcloth, Dashed Stripe Facecloth, Summer Textured Washcloth.
